Hey Deefinds Tribe,
..the one thing that finally helped me stay consistent...
I’ve always been that person—you know, the one who starts everything with so much energy, only to lose steam halfway through. A new diet? I’d quit by day three. A workout routine? Two weeks, tops, content creating? Let’s not even go there. For as long as I can remember, inconsistency has been my shadow, following me into every project, dream, or resolution I tried to pursue.
My greatest concern was how do i go from surviving to living my best life?
But then something changed.
It wasn’t a self-help book or a fancy app. It wasn’t a “life-changing” webinar or some big revelation. It was something so simple that, when I tell you what it is, you might roll your eyes.
A vision board. Yes, a vision board.
Let me tell you how I stumbled onto this tool and why it became the one thing that finally held me accountable—not just for a week or a month, but for a while now.
"the Moment I Knew I Had to Change"
It was late November, and I was doing the usual “new year, new me” ritual. I’d written down a list of goals,: start creating more content, grow my side hustle, stick to my fitness plan, save more money.
The list was long, ambitious, and honestly, overwhelming. By early-January, I’d already stop posting on my socials for a week and spent money on things I swore I wouldn’t. I remember sitting on my bed, staring at that crumpled piece of paper, feeling like a failure.
why couldn’t I just stick to things?
That’s when I saw the random trend on TikTok: a random collage with magazine cutouts of dream destinations and motivational quotes. Looking at it gave me an idea. What if I could take my messy, overwhelming goals and turn them into something visual?
My First Digital Vision Board
I started small. I copied and pasted some photos from Pinterest that resonated with my goals, but instead of just listing my goals, I turned them into pictures and words I could see daily.
A YSL perfume representing brand deals i want this year.
A mock-up of savings for financial discipline.
Number 28 representing my age, and i will be celebrating my birthday.
Something shifted as I worked on it. The process of cutting, pasting, and arranging those images forced me to see my goals differently. They weren’t just words on paper anymore—they were alive.
The Power of Seeing, Feeling, and Believing
I placed my vision board in a spot I couldn’t ignore—as my mobile phone and laptop wallpaper. Every day, it stared back at me, whispering, “You said you wanted this. Let’s go
But the magic wasn’t just in the visuals. Creating the board had forced me to deeply connect with my goals. It wasn’t about what I should do anymore; it was about what I truly wanted.
Every time I saw it, I was reminded of the why behind my goals. And when you’re clear on your why, it’s harder to let yourself off the hook.
RESULTS
But the best part? I’m not that “inconsistent” person anymore. Sure, I still have off days, but I’ve learned how to refocus, recalibrate, and keep going—all because of one simple tool.

What I’d Tell the Old Me
If I could go back and talk to the me who felt like giving up that January, I’d tell her this:
Consistency doesn’t mean perfection. It’s about showing up for yourself every day, even in small ways. And sometimes, you just need a little reminder—a vision board, a tangible picture of your dreams—to keep you on track.
So, if you’re tired of starting over and ready to finally stick to your goals, maybe it’s time to use Canva & Pinterest. You might just surprise yourself.
What about you? Have you tried using a vision board? What’s your biggest struggle with staying consistent? Let’s talk about it in the comments—I’d love to hear your story!
